Independent Car Show Chicago 2021

It has been nearly a decade; August 19, 2012 to be exact, since we checked in on Felipe Villarreal and boys of Independent Car Club in Chicago. Back then, their annual car show was still a fledgling event that was making a name for itself. This year, we were fortunate enough to have somebody in Chicago at the perfect time to drop in and check on the fellas and their event. The 11th Annual Independent Car Show was still going strong. This year, the event was held at Odyssey Sweet Spot Sports Bar in Tinley Park, Illinois. Low Lows were definitely in the house, along with many other classes of vehicles including hot rods, classic cars, muscle cars, lowrider bikes and motorcycles. The show was a stop on the 2021 WEGO Midwest tour and received over 300 entries with participants coming in from Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, and throughout Illinois. Models Mango Kush and Rebecca Ornelas were on hand taking pictures throughout the day much to the delight of fans. Frank Betancourt from Pyscho Dreams ran the hop pit to round out the show’s activities for the day.
