El Vago Cinco De Mayo Car Show 2011
StreetSeen Magazine made the 18 hour trip to the Centennial State for the first time ever on the invitation of Chris Cordova of Memories Car Club and the Colorado Lowrider Association. The Cinco de Mayo show hosted by Lee Treviño is the first of the year in the Colorado area. Low-lows from around the state converged at Island Grove Park in Greeley, Colorado, a town about an hour north of Denver.

This event was free to the public with many activities for families to enjoy. It started off with a parade that led directly to the park and it was non-stop from there. The show occupied two buildings and the surrounding park. Many vendors were on hand selling everything from food to clothing.
In the StreetSeen booth, famous magazine model Tiffanie Vega greeted many visitors to the show. The main stage had live entertainment all day long while a dj played lots of popular favorites in another building. The mood was definitely festive.
We were excited to be part of something that was new to us. The rides on display at the event, though well known in the Colorado area, were rides we have never seen before. Many riders were just thawing out from the winter season ready to debut updates made to their vehicles. Just Casual Car Club of Denver was one of those clubs.
Mike “Jugghead” Mares showed off the changes made to his 1987 Cutlass dubbed “187” which included an all new kandy oriental blue paint scheme and continental kit. While outdoors, Just Casual’s Buma brought out his Monte Carlo hopper to silence his critics. They were nowhere to be found at this show.
We are blessed to have been invited to this event. We would like to thank Chris Cordova, Memories Car Club, The Colorado Lowrider Association., Lee Treviño, Just Casual Car Club, Citywide Denver, and everyone in the Colorado area who dropped by and supported our booth by showing love and helping to make this trip possible. Expect to see us in Colorado again soon and regularly.
