The Texas Heatwave rolled back into San Antonio this year for their second event on their 2011 tour. A new location was chosen to provide spectators and participants an indoor area to cool off in the hot summer sun. Hundreds of participants were on display from as far away as Illinois. Rides we have never seen before were on display in the San Antonio Events Center. The event did bring to light the juggernaut emerging trend of the big rim rides and clubs. Swift Texas was showed strong as always, but they are not the only West Coast based club moving into the Dirty South. Nokturnal showed up with an all new Texas chapter. We also saw a ride or two from Xplicit Car Club. These clubs are just the West Coast names. Many Texas based clubs such as Southern Ridaz are holding
it down for the Lone Star State.

Indoors we saw some wrestling action which peaked our interest when “Gabe the Babe” got in the ring and started molesting everybody. It made for an entertaining match. Outdoors, the concert was set to go down in the evening as Baby Bash and Powerman 5000 took the stage Saturday night. Heatwave goes big. If you have not yet attended one of their events, you’re missing out. We want to thank our Heatwave family for having us out yet again!
